GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Shared Vision is the process of connecting every participants values, skills, and goals to the corporate vision, evoking commitment and higher performance.

Collaborative Communication is the process of respecting and practicing the art of communication to develop the skills of dialog: advocacy, inquiry, and reflection. An atmosphere of trust, self-expression and attentive listening replaces the typical environment of defensiveness, resistance, and blame.

High Performance Team Building is the tangible expression of team members willing to be accountable. This synergistic process, based on shared vision and collaborative communication, supports the natural and spontaneous desire people have to feel they are connected with colleagues and to be productive.

Whole Systems Thinking is the commitment to shift the focus of organizational culture from short-term fixes to effective, on-going solutions. This shift reinforces the critical "cause and effect" impact of all interaction. Since 1996, 87 of the existing Fortune 500 companies have failed and the percentage is significantly higher for smaller corporations. Whole Systems Thinking includes the application of non-linear views and causal loops to improve a company's understanding of current reality. Organizations thriving over time live in vibrant states of awareness, sensitive to change, while immersed in an unpredictable and capricious marketplace.

Personal Accountability is grounded by the commitment to interweave and practice each of the principles personally. Achieving the results one is most passionate about demands a dedication to vision, self-expression, learning, laughing, discovery and the acknowledgment of the need to be supported by the efforts of other people.

Discovery-Centered Organizations are dedicated to supporting a cultural environment committed to trust and the daily use of each of the Guiding Principles in order to measure gaps between vision and current reality to achieve their highest expression of core competencies and success.
