As an executive, consultant, facilitator and speaker, Barry has had national and international exposure advising companies in Japan, Hong Kong, China, England, Germany and Italy. He has been involved in the evaluation of over four hundred corporations, interacting with Boards and upper level management to initiate effective change.
Spanning a period of three decades, he has been advising individuals at all levels of management, emphasizing and facilitating team synergy with billion dollar corporations as well as start-ups. His efforts to cause optimal team interaction has contributed to substantial revenue increases for corporations such as Hanes, Remedy, Financial Network, Presidential Mortgage, Hasegawa Komuten, Textainer, Magic Software, NTS Development and Northland Cable.
Since 1988, Barry's consulting has been dedicated to causing profound connections in personal relationships and effective change in corporate cultures. He shares his deep understanding of the complicated facets of organizational management issues and relationships of trust to cause extraordinary communication, providing powerful assistance in the creation and implementation of changes impacting management performance, market share, revenues and net profits.
As a senior management executive and consultant, Barry has accepted direct responsibility for many aspects of corporate policy formulation, including strategic planning, implementation and gap analysis. He has held leadership positions overseeing research, internal and external corporate analysis, external asset manager relationships, sales, marketing and product development, and for corporations employing over 4,000 people.
Barry has served as a Director for companies involved in a variety of industries. Along with representatives from American Express, Merrill Lynch, Paine Webber, New York Life, and Prudential Bache, he served on national committees involved with industry minimum standards, legislative, and regulatory issues related to the securities industry. He participated in a three-year process to implement major legislation regarding investor rights, which President Clinton signed into law in 1994.
Barry embraces the framework of organizational development, facilitating and coaching disciplines, first developed at MIT in 1991 that have become the foundation for Learning Organizations. These disciplines emphasize optimal team interaction, encouraging openness and truth, stimulating maximum enthusiasm, efficiency, and creativity within a culture. This platform of work has evolved the culture of several countries including Singapore and South Africa. In the United States, community governments and school systems have embodied this work. The largest multinational and Fortune 500 companies, including Ford, Harley Davidson, Federal Express, British Petroleum, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, AT&T, Chrysler, General Electric, and Shell Oil, as well as the United States Army and Navy, have experienced superb results.
He has held the positions of Vice-Chairman of Titan Capital, Senior Vice-President of Financial Network Investment Corporation and President of Danrox Asset Management Corporation. He graduated from Michigan State University, receiving a Woodrow Wilson Nomination and attended the Detroit College of Law for one year before beginning his business career.
