The Ladder of Inference

On Thursday, May 23rd 6:30-9:30p.m., and on Saturday, May 25th from 12:30-3:30 p.m., I will begin two identical workshops.

Past participants have reported a dramatic deepening of their relationships with spouse’s, significant others, family members, friends and business associates. The five part series is provocative, fast paced and fun. The purpose of the workshops is to gain mastery concerning a deeper connection with others. We use two personalized assessments that identify your natural passions and styles. You will discover what has always been right about yourself, rather than trying to be someone you are not. I interweave material that moves us to a model of communication that creates the results we want in our relationships.

The first workshop, called “The Ladder of Inference,” will create awareness about how we make ourselves right and create separation. I will share personal experiences about my “ladder.” We will begin to practice communicating without concepts and words diluting our intention to connect, speaking the unspoken, and letting others know our intuitions.

After the first workshop, you will take two personal assessments in the privacy of your home. You will be receiving an in depth 38 page individualized report over the next two workshops. I will provide the background necessary for you to use this information to see what motivates you and how you like to interact. We will share and enjoy these insights together. You will also understand if something in your life is forcing you to adapt unnaturally. Over these two evenings you will learn to appreciate yourself more and deepen your appreciation of other people. During the 4th and 5th workshops, using a variety of exercises, we practice collaborative communication, the art of using advocacy, inquiry and reflection. Practicing with people who are aware of their “ladder,” passions and styles, naturally leads you to use these skills everyday to enrich and impact connection with yourself and others.

The charge for the 1st workshop is $25. At the end of the evening you will have the opportunity to register for the remainder of the series, which will cost $250. Thursday workshops are at the Montecito Hall & Library at 1469 East Valley Road. Saturday workshops are at Hotel Santa Barbara at 533 State Street.
